My private studio lessons are catered to guitar players of all levels. I offer programs of study for the beginner to the more advanced musician. As a musician I understand that we all learn and develop at different rates, which is why all my programs are carefully devised and selected to cater for each individual. While learning an instrument requires time, practice and patience, my lessons aim at providing the knowledge, excitement and encouragement to ensure each student achieves the best results, while making the learning experience an enjoyable one.
The studio offers tuition in a wide range of music styles including: Blues, Jazz, Rock, Latin and Funk. For each of these styles an in depth study of some of the great guitar players will be prepared and presented. Some of these guitar players include: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, George Benson, John Scofield and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Lessons are one on one, giving each student the freedom to ask as many questions as they please without the fear of other pupils present.
In addition to technical lessons, I also offer lessons in harmony (particularly Jazz Harmony), Arranging and Composition.
For those interested in group lessons, I am currently teaching Blues Guitar and Jazz Harmony classes at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Open Academy.
Finally, If you are not living in the Sydney area and still wish to take lessons, you can do so in your own home via Zoom from anywhere in the world!I
